As impulsive as my husband will tell you I am (& he’s absolutely right about this), this blog has been about 9 slow, long years in the making. You see, nine years ago, I was sitting by the arena watching my daughters attempt to master the literal ups & downs of learning to ride. A fellow mom sat beside me & wondered aloud, “What the he(ck) is posting?” After explaining it to her, she said, “There really should be a website for new barn parents.” Ding Ding!
As I said before, this blog wasn’t one of my more impulsive moments…
Why the hesitation? There are few areas in my psyche that are fragile when it comes to criticism. Appearance? Who cares?! Car I drive? Big deal! Style? Whatever! You think my writing & riding sucks? Gulp!
There you have it- I do have a bit of chicken in me but here it is for you & the world to see. So we can promise to be gentle with one another & together we’ll learn a lot more about this wonderful, crazy world of horses.
